Make this simple and nutritious chutney powder with just 3 key ingredients, in 3 easy steps- roast, cool, blend! Sprinkle on your salad or add it to your sautéed veggies for an extra dash of flavor! You can also enjoy it with steamed rice and organic ghee.
Make sure you have urad dal, sesame seeds and chili peppers handy.
Set IP on 'sauté' mode, add oil and wait for 'hot' sign. Roast sesame seeds, urad dal and red chili for 2-3 minutes to ensure you get rid of the moisture. Make sure you do not burn the spices. They need to brown ever so slightly.
Set aside to cool in a large plate for about 10 minutes.
Transfer into a blender. Add salt.
Blend to a coarse powder.
Transfer to a glass jar with an air tight lid and store in a cool dry place.
